Steampunk Mini Album

Hello! Today I would like to share with you my steampunk mini album.
Products used today are:
The first thing I did was randomly cover my journal with magenta and green Pan Pastels. I took my black Faber Castell Gelato and made marks and covered  the edges.  I then sprayed my cover with Tattered Angels Cork spray

Next I stamped with my Sin City Vintage Background Stamp in black Stazon Ink. Then I partially stamped on top of the stamp with Versa Mark Watermarking Ink and embossed with Gold and heated.

I wanted to have the cover look aged and so I added a torn corner. Glued down a piece of cardstock and used my finger nail to distress it. I also distress with Ranger Aged Mahogany Distress Ink.

I stamped my images from Sin City Stamps  before coloring with Lindys Sprays and edging with black Gelatos.
Here I mixed embossing powders Black and Brown. I used my Sin City Stamps and Versa Mark Ink and heated to emboss.  I went over my images with the magenta Pan Pastel and Black Gelato.
I decided my pages needed some pockets. I cut Acetate pockets with a Tim Holtz Die and adhered
them down with double sided tape. To fill those pockets I made matching tags.  Below I used a beautiful stamp from Sin City Stamps and embossed it with gold embossing powder.
This photo shows what to use to clean your stamps after using Stazon Permanent Ink.
If you do not clean your stamps your stamps will be stained permanently.

Below are my finished pages with pockets and tags bound with Vintage Seam Binding
stained with Magenta Pan Pastels and Black Gelatos.

My favorite page magenta and black with Sin City Stamps. My matching tag also colored
with Pan Pastels, embossed with Sin City Stamps and fussy cut wings were a perfect match!

Last page embellished with leftover tag from G45. My matching tag uses gold and clear embossing powder. The clear embossing powder acted as a resist when I colored with Distress inks.

This image shows without the tag below. Gorgeous background stamp from Sin City Stamps.

This image shows the back cover which matches the front.
Front cover with embellishments.

I hope you have enjoyed my mini album and instilled some incentive to try it out for yourself!
I had a blast making this album with my favorite genre "Steampunk".

Happy Valentines Day Card for SinCity Stamps

Hello Peggy here, I am so excited!  This is my very first post for Sin City Stamps as a Brand New Design Team Member and I couldn't be happier.  Today I would like to show you  a card made from several different media.
Items I used:

The first thing I did was to fussy cut some images of ephemera from the kit and
matched up some background paper. I layered two pieces of designer background paper.
I wanted to accentuate the beautiful flowers so I decided to emboss using The Vintage Background stamp and the Romance Stamp with clear embossing powder over top of my layered background paper. Next I took my two pieces of ephemera and placed them strategically one on either side. I gave the image of a boy a pink hue/shadow, by highlighting the background behind him with Pan Pastels in Magenta.

I took the sentiment stamp from the February Frog Dog Studio Kit and
stamped with Stazon Ink Red on regular cardstock and backed it with metal tape to
reinforce it and to be able to manipulate the paper easily.  I think it gave it a nice shiny edge too.
I placed the Prima crown behind the little boy and touched it up with White Gesso.
I thought it fitting that he was backed with postal paper as way back when they used to mail children.
 (true story).
I chose some handmade vintage ribbon to run through the middle and front of the card and
finally I edged the card with a Gold Dabber
Above you can make out the beautiful rose from Sin City Stamps in the
middle of the postcard as well as the edging made with the Vintage background stamp.

I hope you have enjoyed my Valentines Card as much as I enjoyed making it!

New Design Team Member Woven Hearts Card

Hi! Today I would like to tell you about my first project/post as a brand new design team member for Arnold Grummer Paper Making.
List of supplies used today are:
First,I prepared my flowers and leaves in the microfleur flower press quick and easy. I placed my flowers and leaves into the press and microwaved them..

I was amazed how easy it was to make paper with the Arnold Grummer Paper Making kit.
I followed the simple directions of making pulp in the blender and pouring into the casting mold.
Just before I lifted out the paper I set in some leaves, fuzzy stuff off the trees from my morning walk and whalla! Awesome textured, colored paper.

I cut the paper with a Tim Holtz Ornate Die Shape and adhered it to my corrugated cardboard that I painted with white gesso. I ran this through my embossing machine with an embossing folder.
I made a woven hearts celtic knot symbol by putting my freshly made pulp onto a terracotta mold and pressing firmly to release the water and that was it! My instructional DVD that came with my kit was so easy to follow - my children wanted to make some!
This was so much fun I cannot wait to try again! If you enjoyed what I have to share today , please visit the website  and use  Coupon: STPAT20 for 20% savings!
