25th Birthday Card

Hello and welcome! Today I am showing the card I made for my daughter who is turning 25 on August 8th. I cannot believe 25 years has gone by sooo fast!! Soon she will be having babies herself! Oh my.. it turns out she will be visiting New York City for her 25th and I thought the stamp would be perfect!

Today's supplies include my eBrush by Craftwell USA and Clearsnap our sponsor.

I started with photo glossy paper and I stenciled my paper using my eBrush and alcohol markers.
I chose yellow, orange and light blue for my marker color choices.

 Next I stamped my cityscape image from clearsnap onto white cardstock and fussy cut it out.
Then I took a black fine marker and drew along all the edges.

I had a precut clock in craft cardstock and I used my inks from clearsnap to color the clock silver leaving some spots to show through to help it look aged and metal looking. 

Along with some coordinating patterned cardstock I put all my pieces together

layering each piece of cardstock to match my images.

Resist Technique with the Sisterhood of Snarky Sisters

Challenge # 64 "R - Resist Technique"

Today I have my last post for the Sisterhood of Snarky Sisters. 

I made for you a dry embossed resist technique using embossing folders

and coloring only the raised portion of my image. I used gelato's to color this butterfly by dragging my sticks of gelato lightly on top of my raised image and resisting the de-bossed image. 

Then I lightly sprayed my image to activate the water colors of my gelato's. 

I backed up my card on some lovely Graphic45 papers and added the SHINE letters to the top.

Mixed Media Sea Themed Art Card

 Happy Wednesday Everyone! 

Today I am sharing an art card I made with several mixed media supplies and mediums. 

Supplies used today are; 

Golden Molding Paste

Watercolor sticks

Golden matte medium 

 I laid my watercolors down and let it dry. Then I used the molding paste and stencils from Mixed Media Supplies.  Next it was time for some stamping in Stazon inks so not to smudge. I used dictionary paper in a few sparse places with some matte medium to stick it down. 

Watercolors were used for color on my white background and splattering was a must!

I used a cap to create the circles on my page again I used brown stazon ink. 

The black circle to the right is a real baby sand dollar I picked up from my many trips to Rathtrevor Beach on Vancouver Island. 

I hand drew a larger sand dollar and cut holes in it. I also drew the star shape in the middle and covered it with mini art stones. With a gel pen I made marks on the sand dollar as well as the edges of my card. 

And that's it! I put all my embellishments in place and glued it all down.

Watercolor Fun!

I am loving my new watercolor pencils by Derwent and crayons from Staedtler. I had no idea it could be this fun! I love this medium and this is my first attempt at watercolors on 140lb watercolor paper.

Calm Moonlit Night Card

 Happy Moonday! lol
Today I bring you a card made with my eBrush by Craftwell USA and our sponsors this month Teresa Collins and Clearsnap. 

 I used the City stamp by Clearsnap and Teresa Collins fabulous pigment, archival platinum silver and feisty red ink pads.

I started with some white cardstock and taped off half of my page with painters tape which is not the best as it will lift your paper if you pull it up too fast upon removal. 

I sprayed the top of the card with four shades of blue alcohol based ink markers using my eBrush by Craftwell 

 Next I stamped this cityscape with platinum silver for the buildings and feisty red ink for the land by taping off the stamp to apply ink.

 When I removed my tape I was able to cover the top portion of my skyline , turn upside down and mirror image the stamp image for the water reflection. I added wave like marks with a paint pen as well as draw the moon. I also added some yellow watercolor paint on top for a city glow on the water.

I backed my image up on white and black cardstock and adhered all to a card base.
